SHOULDER PAIN

Shoulder pain affects many people, being the most common condition after low back pain and neck pain. Shoulder disorders include but are not limited to: tendonitis, rotator cuff strains or tears, frozen shoulder, impingement syndrome, capsulitis and arthritis.

MOST COMMON CAUSES OF SHOULDER PAIN

Postural stressors, prolonged and repetitive working with arms raised above head.  Working in awkward positions or cramped spaces, lying and sleeping.

SHOULDER PAIN SYMPTOMS

Patients report pain when  using or moving their shoulder, and others experience feeling stiff. Other symptoms may include:

Pain in the front or side of the shoulder.

Pain can extend into the upper arm and can radiate into the elbow. 

Pain aggravated by moving the shoulder, especially in the front or the side or placing your hand behind your back.

Aggravated by overhead movement.
